  • ProPublica Vital Signs has accumulated a wealth of data from across the U.S. about how medicine is really practiced. Get to know your health care provider better and sign up for notifications every time we update the data or if we spot something new or something important changes. 

  • ProPublica Dollars For Docs reports specifically on doctors that are being paid by pharmaceutical companies and device manufacturers for things like speaking, consulting and research projects. 

 

  • ProPublica's Surgeon Scorecard has calculated death and complication rates for surgeons performing one of eight elective procedures. Use this database to know more about a surgeon before your operation. 

  • National Practitioner Databank Public Use Data File - The NPDB Public Use Data File contains selected variables from medical malpractice payment and adverse licensure, clinical privileges, professional society membership, and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) reports (adverse actions) received by the NPDB concerning physicians, dentists, and other licensed health care practitioners. It also includes reports of Medicare and Medicaid exclusion actions taken by the Department of HHS Office of Inspector General.
